CHARACTER: CANON SECTION
NAME: Two
AGE: Physically only 1-2, but appears 16-18
CANON: Drakengard 3

CANON HISTORY: Here!
CANON PERSONALITY: Two loves. That's kind of her problem. Maybe more than any of her sisters, she loves the people who worship her, she loves everyone in the land she oversees, and she loves her disciple. Kindness overflows from her in such a way that if anything bad ever happened because of loving someone too much, if anything went wrong and it was so clearly her best intentions gone horribly awry, it would—did—shatter her. Her idealism is critical to the happiness of everybody around her, but it's also the reason she lost everything.

Love is never so simple. She's still a fragment of Zero, born from the flower, and she still has the same qualities that all her other sisters have. She has no problem siding with One in an all-out assault against Zero to protect her life and the lives of people who matter to her. She knows how important she is to the people around her and, though she doesn't let it go to her head, she would rather die than abandon them—or be abandoned by them. It isn't healthy, it isn't smart, but it's idealistic and it's intense and it's love. Two is the protectiveness, the possessiveness; the passion, the codependency; the joy, the rage. And if she were to go mad in her love, if she were to lose everything else that mattered, she could easily push herself over the edge. She could become so impassioned, so obsessed with getting back what she wants that she murders her own sisters in cold blood for it. Love is always more complicated than it seems.

She's described as a kind ruler, someone who cooks in her spare time and takes in orphaned children and wants everybody to be happy. The one person she loves more than anybody in the world is her disciple, Cent. She seems as giddy as a schoolgirl whenever he's around, misinterpreting anything remotely suggestive he could say as a proposition and finding herself head over heels for how smart he is without even really caring if he's making anything up. He's attractive, he's kind, he's strong, and she loves him with her entire heart. She wants nothing more than to be happy with him for the rest of their lives.

It never seems to spread her too thin, putting all this care back into the world for each person who cares about her, but it's still a strain on anybody, human or not. It's no doubt a reason why her mind shattered so easily when she found out that tragedy had befallen her loved ones and it was entirely her fault. Her song brought the orphaned children of the world together in the Cathedral City, but it's also responsible for every child and every soldier assigned to guard and protect them falling victim to a curse and turning inhuman. She grows to hate the power of her song, to wish she'd never been an Intoner and had never known what that power is like.

Lucky for her she's been incinerated and doesn't need to worry about it anymore.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Everything that makes Two different stems from an organism known only as "the flower". The flower itself is... interesting. It's implied to be an alien organism, or at least one that's somehow not of this world, that found Zero and offered her freedom and power in exchange for her becoming its vessel to end the world. Zero figured that out early on and tried to tear it from her body, which is when it decided to divide up its power and create Zero's sisters, the other Intoners. It gives Two amazing regenerative capabilities, the power of the Intoner's song, and the fate to, ultimately, transform into the Grotesquerie Queen and end the world.

As an Intoner, Two is extremely difficult to kill, outside of dragons and dragon-based weapons. Her regenerative abilities are a little less absolute and somewhat more volatile than Zero's, but someone would still need to put a lot of effort into killing her if they wanted to do it right. Things that can definitely kill Intoners include being hacked to pieces by a sword forged with/from dragon parts, being burned to death by a dragon, or being eaten by a dragon. Though, since one of Two's sisters came back from "death" as an insane zombie powered only by the will of the flower, the regeneration isn't always perfect or painless if the Intoner isn't killed outright.

Her song is extremely powerful and complex magic that, with help from her devoted disciple Cent, she can use to summon two different Angels. The first, Egregori, is an enormous armored soldier that Two can apparently summon multiple copies of depending on the power of her song—though she limits it to two, appropriately. It has the power to shoot beams of energy from its face and distort its body to throw long-reaching punches, but without the armor it turns into a much smaller version of itself and appears to lose all power. The second, Raphael, is an equally huge poison-secreting spider. It can swipe with its forelegs, spit poison gas, and launch sticky webs to ensnare its enemies. Its hide repels dragonfire, but it's just as weak to a skull bash as anything else.

Each Intoner has a specific part of them that grows forever and uncontrollably. With Two, instead of something so simple like hair or a fingernail, it's her strength. This makes her an increasingly deadly swordswoman in her own right, even without the improved capabilities granted to her by being an Intoner. In addition to physical strength, it also refers to the power of her song. She has the potential to become incredibly dangerous given enough time, and it's possible that the reason she's even able to summon a different, more powerful Angel is because of her constantly growing strength.

The song also allows her to enter something called Intoner Mode, which flips all her skills into overdrive. She can run faster, jump higher, and attack more, and she already has the ability to outperform the average human just from what she is. It's a temporary buff, but she can use it to turn the tide of a battle that isn't going her way. While it's only really explained as a game mechanic, it's a safe assumption that this is doing something like allowing the flower greater control over its vessel in exchange for even more power.

Which brings us to the whole reason why the flower is bad. If the flower's magic is allowed to gather within one vessel—if Zero or another sister kills all the others, then—the flower will bloom into the Grotesquerie Queen. The Queen is a creature with the power to summon an infinite amount of Angels and warp space and time to its will, and when it dies, it can infect the entire planet with a syndrome that turns humans into salt. That's getting into a different game's backstory, so I'll just say that letting the flower bloom would lead to a lot of very, very bad things happening.

CHARACTER: AU SECTION
AU NAME: Carmelina "Lina" Geteilt
AU AGE: 21
PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: Her hair and eyes are both brown and she's fully human! No weird flower-based grotesquerie queen stuff going on here.

AU HISTORY: Like the other Geteilt sisters, and as discussed and cleared with those players, Lina found herself in the orphanage at a young age and ended up bonding quickly and easily with Rose, Jasmine, Clover, and the others. Her own form of "behavioral management" came as cooking classes, and she discovered early on that not only was she good at it, but she loved doing it. It made the people around her happy, and it made her happy to have something she could either mess around with or just follow to the letter and still end up with something great in the end. During her adolescence, she devoted more and more of her time to cooking for her sisters and the other orphans whenever she was able, and eventually a family took notice.

She was taken out of the system as a teenager by Gregory and Gabrielle Cantor, a middle-aged married couple who had always wanted a daughter but had never been able to conceive. They let her keep her, uh, "adoptive" surname unofficially (on Lina's insistence, of course) and she still introduces herself as Lina Geteilt in most situations except legal ones. (She'd much rather still go by Lina Geteilt than Carmelina Cantor, just because she doesn't want to lose the bond with her sisters.) Being a so-called success story of the Geteilts weighed on her at first, and still does in some ways, so she's consistently tried to do anything she can to stay connected with them.

But she couldn't spend every day of her life thinking about the orphanage and the people she was "leaving behind". When her new parents realized just how much of a passion cooking was for Lina, they agreed to send her through RU's culinary program when she turned 18 to give her all the opportunities someone like her deserved. (She's learned a lot from her adoptive parents on the importance of people being happy.) She's been in that program for three years now and is unbelievably happy with it, and in the past two years she's even been able to show off her skills online with a food blog! She's pretty sure it's popular—enough that people have noticed her for it, at least—which means she gets to take sponsors and bring in enough cash where she doesn't really have to worry too much about money.

She takes a lot of pride in experimenting with measurements and flavor combinations and anything fresh and delicious so she can keep things interesting, but recipes inspired by her sponsors may not always turn out... fantastic. She doesn't like making people unhappy, though, and if a sponsor shows enough enthusiasm about her blog then she'll probably accept them, which has led to some questionable sponsors at times. (To this day she's pretty sure none of her recipes have ever made anybody sick, but she does kind of have an iron stomach.)

But in the end, no matter how far she comes from the orphanage, she'll never forget it—she doesn't want to. So she makes food for her sisters on a regular basis, and will volunteer down at the orphanage itself every couple of months when she has the time for it. She knows it's hard for a lot of people, so she makes herself available for them—the orphans, her sisters, even the readers of her blog if they're having a particularly rough time of it. It takes a lot of her own energy to do it, but as long as she can bring smiles into the world, she's completely fine with it!

AU PERSONALITY: Lina has the benefit of not being the knowing creation of a flower hell-bent on destroying the world, so she's content to just love things and people freely! She doesn't currently have anybody in her romantic sights, but her heart is overflowing with genuine care for everybody she meets. It's hard for her to dislike somebody, since she doesn't have the darker side to her, but she's not so naive that she doesn't know how to keep herself safe, either.

She chooses to show her affection through food whenever she can, because it's something she's very good at and takes a lot of pride in. It's really not uncommon to see her gracing her friends with batches of a new recipe she's just perfected or asking for their opinions on something brand new that she's trying for the first time. There's still a lot of wonder in her that her rough childhood was never really able to get rid of, and she's making it her goal to shine that light on as many people as possible.

The problem is that, by making herself available to so many people, by being their shoulder to cry on and putting so much energy into making other people happy, she doesn't really have a lot of time to take care of herself. When her energy runs out, it runs out hard, but she really doesn't let people see it whenever she can avoid it. She's always kind of been the "successful one" of her sisters (and god, she feels guilty about that on a nigh constant basis), so she wants to make sure they have someone to look to for some happiness and light in their lives.

No matter how burnt out she is, no matter how much she really just needs to take some time for herself, if one of her sisters or someone else she cares about needs help then she'll find a way to make them smile. And she might be a little naïve about it, but she's not completely clueless. She knows the way she acts isn't especially good for her. But it makes her feel better, and more importantly it makes other people feel better, and damn it, shouldn't that be enough for anybody? Because if it isn't... well, if it's not enough, or if somebody calls her on it, she won't have any way to fix it. She doesn't really know what else to do with her life if she's not allowed to spend her energy making people happy. She doesn't want to do anything else. Let this be enough. She needs this to be enough.
